I am learning to make patterns to 5

Indie you are able to recognise patterns to 5 using concrete materials.  We are now going to work on instantly recalling these patterns to 5.

Elm park 50th Birthday Party

We launched our Celebration Inquiry with a huge party for Elm Park School. This year our school will turn 50! We had a great day with our school friends and our whanau

Indie said, "It was great. We had lots of funny games with the teachers and a treasure hunt and ice blocks and cookies and we did the parachute with Keely's class. That is our buddy class."

I am learning to form my numerals correctly.

I am learning to write my numbers around the right way.  I am able to write up to 20 correctly but I am working on identifying all the numerals.

" I can count backwards from 10.  I need to remember 6" said Indie

I am learning to make a rhyming string.

I am learning to find words that end with the same rhyming sounds.
I am learning to make a pattern of my own.

"I can make the first sounds so I get the word" said Indie

I am learning water safety

I am learning to enter and exit the pool safely.

I am learning to glide on my front with a flutter board.

I am learning to float on my back with and without a board.

I am learning to manage myself and get changed independently.

The whole class got a lot quicker at getting ready!

I am learning to write more than than 2 sentences.

I am learning to start with a capital letter.

I am learning to read my story to see if it makes sense.
